*Vertiv’s state-of-the-art equipment fuels growing business development*

**MONTREAL, QC – Dec. 11, 2019 –** [eStruxture](https://www.estruxture.com/?hsLang=en), a leading Canadian provider of network and cloud-neutral data center solutions, recently joined forces with the Architects of Continuity™ from [Vertiv](https://www.vertiv.com/en-us/) to transform the building formerly housing the Montreal Gazette printing press into its MTL-2 facility that officially launched October 10, 2019, offering customers scalable solutions for high-density infrastructure deployments. How the companies collaborated to meet this market need while also increasing operational efficiency and reducing its overall environmental footprint is highlighted in a [newly released case study](https://www.vertiv.com/en-us/about/news-and-insights/articles/case-studies/estruxture-fills-gap-in-canadian-colocation-market-using-wall-to-wall-vertiv-solutions/).

Vertiv specializes in bringing together hardware, software, analytics and ongoing services to ensure its customers’ vital applications run continuously, perform optimally and grow with their business needs. In the case of MTL-2, eStruxture made use of the following equipment it sourced through Vertiv:

- Liebert® EXL S1 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units with lithium-ion batteries
- Liebert® DSE free-cooling economization system with Liebert® iCOM™ controls
- Liebert® PPC power conditioning and distribution cabinet with branch monitoring
- Liebert® RX distribution cabinet with branch monitoring
- Vertiv™ VR racks with Vertiv™ Geist™ rack power distribution units (rPDUs)

By installing this equipment in the MTL-2 data center, eStruxture set itself up to provide global businesses with scalable, efficient colocation solutions that can support growth throughout the Montreal market. For example, the system supplies packaged power distribution in the smallest possible footprint and gives eStruxture the flexibility to add additional circuits as needed.

“With MTL-2, the eStruxture team had a clear vision of turning a defunct printing press facility into a state of the art, environmentally sustainable data center with the capacity and connections to support our customers’ demands for scalable colocation and robust connectivity solutions,” said Todd Coleman, CEO of eStruxture. “For us, Vertiv was an ideal partner in helping us equip our facility with technology that gives us the agility to expand alongside our customers as their businesses scale. Supporting our customer’s growth with scalable, high-density colocation and custom cloud solutions ultimately enables us to build a stronger and leaner business ecosystem.”

“eStruxture is making great strides to outfit all areas of Canada with access to options for cloud- and carrier-neutral colocation and connectivity services, and we are thrilled to be part of it,” said James Cutrone, president of [Javco Mission Critical](http://javco.ca/), a local Vertiv partner. “Our product experts teamed with Vertiv engineers and service professionals to help eStruxture design and deliver a host of long-lasting, reliable solutions that will serve an extensive range of businesses for years to come.”

The MTL-2 data center has a planned capacity of 30 MW. Thanks to the efficiency of the design, the facility also offers customers unique disaster recovery advantages including office and storage space.  MTL-2 allows for direct connections to all major clouds, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud and more. It is connected by a redundant and path-diverse fibre loop to eStruxture’s other Montreal data centers, allowing for greater connectivity and diversity options.
