eStruxture Nominated as Finalist for The Data Center Eco-Sustainability Award by DCD

Every year, DatacenterDynamics organizes an awards event that celebrates industry’s best data center projects and most talented people. The 2018 DCD Awards shortlist has just been released and eStruxture is proud to announce that it has been named a finalist of The Data Center Eco-Sustainability Award alongside Facebook, Digital Realty and NREL.
At eStruxture, we made eco-sustainability part of our DNA and we strongly believe that being green is not only good for the environment, but for the business as well. Reducing energy use and waste improves our bottom line, as well as allows us to offer our customers the best rates possible.

Studies show that the main contributors to data center environmental impact are energy consumption, energy mix, IT, mechanical and electrical systems, with cooling being the largest energy consumer after the IT load, the largest component of which is from the refrigeration compressors.
Our investment in a modern, free cooling technology that uses oil-free compressors, takes advantage of our colder climate to reduce energy usage, minimizes water consumption, noise levels, vibrations and the environmental impact of refrigerant and other potentially harmful chemicals shows eStruxture’s commitment to being good corporate citizens and lead by example in the Montreal and Canadian technology and data community.
Furthermore, selecting a local manufacturer for our new cooling system not only reduced the costs and environmental impact associated with transportation, but also shows our commitment to supporting local suppliers and to being an engaged member of the Montreal business community.
