The New Homesteaders of the Digital West
May 7, 2026
For generations, the Alberta story has been written in the soil, the oil, and the grit of people who knew how to build something from nothing. It’s a province defined by the Wild Rose spirit—a refusal to stay small and a drive to lead the way for the rest of the country.
But today, a new frontier is opening up. It isn’t found in a mine or a well; it’s humming inside the walls of the most advanced infrastructure Canada has ever seen.
At eStruxture, we are proud to be the new homesteaders of this digital landscape. We aren’t just expanding our footprint in Alberta; we are planting a flag for Canada’s future.
Building at the Speed of Ambition
We already operate three data centres in the province, but our newest project, CAL-3, is different. It is a $750M statement of intent. As our largest build to date—a massive 90MW powerhouse—it is designed to give Alberta the compute muscle it needs to compete with Silicon Valley, London, or Tokyo.
While the world’s electricity needs for AI are skyrocketing, Alberta is uniquely positioned to handle the load. With a power grid rapidly transitioning to renewables, we are offering the world something rare: massive scale with a clean conscience.
A Sovereign Legacy
In an era where data is the new gold, who owns the vault matters. We are 100% Canadian-owned and Sovereign by Design. When an Alberta tech startup or a healthcare provider trusts us with their data, they aren't sending it across a border to be governed by foreign laws. They are keeping it here, on home soil, protected by Canadian standards.
The Responsible Neighbour
We believe that being a "Principled Builder" means respecting the land and the people who live on it. That’s why we design our facilities to be quiet-by-design, ensuring we don't disrupt the peace of the communities we call home. It’s why we’ve moved away from using public water for cooling, preserving Alberta’s precious resources for the families that need them.
We wear our pride on our flannel sleeves because we know that data centres are the "everyday miracles" that make modern life possible. From the AI that will cure diseases to the platforms that power our financial systems, it all starts here.
The railroad tied this country together in 1867. Today, it’s the fiber and the steel of CAL-3 that will carry us into the next century.
Alberta has always known how to power the world. Now, we’re ready to power the future.
