Jacques Marchand has more than 20 years of experience in private equity and corporate finance. He joined CDPQ in 2016 and is now Managing Director, Head of Private Large Capitalization in Québec. In this role, he is in charge of a private equity portfolio of about 30 companies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of IPL Inc. and Plusgrade LP and formerly served on the Board of Directors of Nuvei and Cirque du Soleil. Prior to joining Caisse, Jacques worked at Transat inc. a vertically integrated travel business as their director of corporate development and VP Transformation. Before that, he held various roles at CDPQ in the private equity group. He holds a bachelor’s in finance from HEC Montreal and is a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1999.
